Using his 25 years of experience in the automotive field, Kent Wallace draws on his mechanical, engineering and fabrication expertise to create the healthiest, most beautiful Koi ponds in the U.S. Upon completion of his first pond in 1999, the owner submitted it to Better Homes and Gardens Magazine where it won Best Courtyard Nationwide in their special interest publication. From this beginning, Kent formed his company, Living Water Solutions, Inc. in 2002. The company has evolved from pond construction to production manufacturing, consulting and design. Kent has quickly become one of the premier pond builders in the US, and is one of the only builders who designs and builds Koi ponds exclusively. Because so much of Living Water Solutions business early on came from rebuilding and retrofitting poorly built ponds, Kent has seen the effects of inadequate filtration and sub-par building techniques. From these experiences, he has learned what works and what doesn’t, developing techniques and products to create great ponds as well as help troubled ponds. As a featured writer for Koi Nations Magazine, Kent has educated the public not only through his articles, but also through multiple seminars and classes taught throughout the country. Kent trains landscape architects, contractors, and hobbyists nationwide on proper pond building techniques, primarily focusing on filtration techniques, structural integrity, water quality and Koi health. He is well known for his crystal clear pond systems and innovative product design and fabrication. Kent believes that building ponds correctly the first time is good business and leads to healthy ponds, happy pond owners, and eliminates the disappointed customer scenario that so plagues the pond industry.
